Why do ankylosaurs never get any kind of love on these kinds of lists? Seriously, club-tailed ankylosaurs like Ankylosaurus and Euoplocephalus would have been able to break bones with their clubs; Ankylosaurus even has Triceratops's distinction of living at the same time and place as Tyrannosaurus!

Inaccuracies:

1. There is no evidence that Mapusaurus and Giganotosaurus hunt in packs because paleontologists never found remains of those dinosaurs buried together

2. Giganotosaurus weight is now believed to be only 7 tons while Trex weight is up to 9 tons

3. Albertosaurus didnt have a stronger bite than Trex

4. Carcharodontosaurus is 40 ft. long

The thing is, this is not the case. Of predatory dinosaurs, the T. Rex outcompeted everything it encountered. Not just at its final adult stage but in multiple different niches with each growth stage. It was less fragile and more adept at tackling similar-sized prey, rather than trying to exploit a weakness of a large sauropod or go for small or aquatic prey. As raw damage potential goes, the T. Rex was the best of its era and this is proven with its expansion into multiple niches and ecosystems even replacing the existing competitors.

I would like to point out the male lion is a scavenger. He lets the female lions, cheetahs, even hyenas do the hunting then steps in and eats what he wants.
