How considerate! They chose a restaurant right around the corner so as not to overwhelm their American friend.

2 germans meet at a bus stop and the bus takes 10 minutes to arrive. "wanna walk to the next stop?" every time

I am from Europe. I know you Americans think in Europe we walk a lot. I am living in Germany rn, they take the walking to a whole new level

I (German) was in the US for holidays, I asked a guy how far it is to walk to a shop I was looking for, he glanced at me like I was an Alien😂
They do not even have pedestrian lines beneath streets many times.

A tour guide in Brussels told me that she does different tours for American tourists because they physically aren't able to walk as far and as fast as other tourist groups...

One of them: Oh. It's raining. Left my laundry outside. Let's go back.

last year we had a new employee from Canada.... we're in Berlin... we got him a nice hotel close to the office.... a 20 minute walk.... he asked if we would reimburse him the taxi rides to and from the office and he was confused why we started laughing

Imagine walking 6 km to get to a restaurant and the food doesn’t taste good😭

I'm going to use the phrase "Are you made out of sugar or what?" when it rains and someone complains 😂

What a lot of people misunderstand is that...
When a European or British person says something is "five minutes that way", they mean five minutes by walking.
When an American says "five minutes that way", they mean five minutes by driving a car (which is, ya know, longer than a five minutes' walk).

My grandmother used to say “Are you made of sugar?” whenever I complained about going out in the rain. 😂

Food tastes better when you're hungry anyway. 😂

Lol, in the Netherlandswe say 'Are you made out of sugar or something?' when people express an unwillingness to walk in the rain, too. It just means 'It won't dissolve you, suck it up.'
