to be honest LVMH is for me better investment even at these prices than NVO. Pharma is always risky, you never know what will happen, you have always these expiring pattents, there can be side effects, there can be regulations etc etc etc. LVMH does the same for 100 years plus there is a tailwind which is not discussed a lot, and that;s the fact than there are more and more really wealthy people. Especially in India will the number grow, so generally for luxury segment it is long term tailwind, even DCF taking some realistic numbers LVMH seems to be on the same level for next 5 years, and if would have to choose between these two with same CAGR growth I always choose LVMH, since business is easier to understand.

As for Novo, they already have a factory in the USA in North Carolina and are currently building a new large factory (also in North Carolina) which should be completed in 2027/28. An investment worth 4.1 billion dollars. They currently employ around 10, 000 people in the USA. The market for obesity drugs is extremely large and Novo will play a major role alongside Lilly in the next decade. As for the claim that the price chart is a total disaster, I would only partially agree. The fact is that in mid-2024, NVO was massively overbought (fwd P/E 40) and it is also a fact that it is now extremely oversold (fwd P/E 17), which fortunately for long-term investors is an excellent opportunity to buy a high quality company at a very good price. Unlike LVMH, projected earnings for the next 2 years show growth of around 20% (how could you wish for a bigger opportunity)

I already have pfizer but I'm also starting to really like MRK and NVO at these prices. Seems kind of like the whole sector is currently getting very cheap. What do you think about buying a healthcare ETF when so many companies seem to get cheap in a similar sector? Might be a nice value buy without having to pick the right winners?

Edit: Took a quick look at it but i'm not sure if there is a broad healthcare ETF which contains all these 3 companies + more since NVO is not an S&P 500 company and isn't in for instance the SP500 healthcare ETF

great video
So many companies looks cheap as compared to last year, so do we just buy and hodl, because most everything just drops. I feel like I am getting a great deal and then it gets cheaper. Any idea how low we go and how long we wait for turn arounds. A year, two years.

I agree with you. Not that these are bad investments, but there are far better places to put money in this market right now.

Both underperformed the past 10 years the much less riskier QQQ and SCHG. Both Value plays. Double no.

I bet Arnault waited a bit to buy all those stocks because he's down a lot on his recent purchases. Anyway, founders / CEOs buying more shares don't really say much based on my experience. If anything, it's more out of emotion and frustration than rational financial decision. Btw, I love it when you say "total disaster". lol...
