The number is seasons to produce deseasonalized data provides a really low resolution perspective. On top of that there are so many dimensions of seasons going from the the intrinsic rotation of the earth, the orbital rotation, the weather dynamics, mapping those dynamics to the poles, the solar cycles (some quite unknown and the rest barely understood). We have one or less data points to infer seasonality for solar activity. There are 220 million year cycles for the solar system’s orbit around the globular cluster and the repositioning along the galactic arms that even influence our local weather. We are truly at the whims of Ptolemaic models with all of this compute capability just because of how short a period of time we have been collecting data.

I love we are trying. But it needs to be said these are our best models, so don’t freak out when we describe what we see. Otherwise, we are teaching scientism, a belief system, not a scientific methodology.

Nothing alive stays stagnant! The world is a livening organism with its constant changes ever happening and there’s not a dam thing humans can do to it or for it!! Here in salt lake we have had lower than normal snow for years in a row, but this year we received 100 fold above normal snow fall! Can’t forecast weather one to two days out! Sure as hell not able to do it for 50 or 100 years out no matter what your models say!!
