This tutorial will show you how to record games in 60 FPS using OBS Studio. We run through the primary settings that you want to get right for recording your gameplay. It is best to play with your settings to find exactly what your computer can handle when it comes to bit-rate.

You can set your FPS in the video tab in the OBS settings. Typically your frame rate is set to 30 by default.

ok, for the encoder part 0:25 if you dont see the nvidea option, then just select x264 if you see it. i do, so i will select it. follow the instrctions as shown. ignore any options that you dont see, that he mentions, like the 2 boxes, or max b-rate. just ignore those, and fill out everything that you can that he mentions.

Most people only have x264 for their encoder, in the Recording / MP4 section... any tips for those people?

If you don't have the *NVIDIA NVENC H. 264* this means that you don't have a graphics card, so just go with the *x264* it should work just as well.

Well, when i try to record Black Ops 2 (for testing purposes) it still kind of laggy, it does not give me the full 60FPS . I am using a RTX 3060 and with Ampere Architecture it should work. I used everything from losless, to CBR 12000 to and CQB.

Ive set obs like this but my utube videos are not at 60 fps they are 30fps. There is some setting or reason why I cant post at 60 fps. Some of my older videos are in 60 fps so its possible. Ive got a decent system so thats not the problem. Any ideas? good vid though but it didnt help me.

I found another way to fix it.
Uninstall the new or windows 11 Media Player in apps and use the old one or 5k Player.
