Wow, that was actually quite awesome. The GTI just doesn't cease to amaze me. Definitely tempted to try this on my DSG-equipped Sport once I'm past the break-in period. Cheers!

I feel my car lags more with launch control on then off. I got it to chirp second gear bunch of times which was cool in a dsg

I got 0-60 in 6.6 seconds. Not bad for a GTI. I believe the launch control could be more aggressive.

does it have to be in ESC Sport or can ESC be normal but just TC off?

Mk7 GTi DSG doesn’t pop when launch control is used for some reason? same with the R.

I am really surprised at how little wheel spin you had when you let go of the brake. Are you running really sticky tyres? Mines gets wheel spin as soon as brake is let go!

Do you floor the throttle with left foot on the brake or are you modulating it yourself?

I am confused. Does the mk7 have the same exhaust? Do all the gti have that crackle and pop exhaust sound??

Does the electronic differential has any effect on wheel in during launch?
I guess only on turns, am I wrong?

Isn't turning traction control off very dangerous? And what is esc sport?

the GTi has the XDS differential. The GTi PP has a even better XDS (haldex) differential. The normal golf's have nothing and are horrible at torque steering in the wet.
