Love it. I remember getting into DCS with a XBox One controller. Good gear helps, but you can be proficient with inexpensive gear too.

Drew, FYI: Clouds have no effect on Fox 2 missiles. So it is to your advantage to use said clouds to hide the smoke trails from your target. Especially concerning the Russian missile inventory in DCS.

As u said with practice u can fly with anything, I fly with a partial broken joystick named Saitek ST200, with the broken throttle, just 4 buttons, 2 for accelerate (that is a bit broken sometimes it doesnt react) and decelerate, and the other 2 for shooting guns, missiles and bombs, the rest with mouse and keyboard including camera, rudder, etc. I've been like this over 5 years and with enough practice I started to fly pretty well.

The pov with the GoPro is awesome. It would be awesome to have a full video like that, with the gear and seen your head turn and everything. Like... If you have the exposure right on camera, that would be an awesome video to watch
