Cool for a kitchen knife but in case of a bushcraft knife such system would create serious weakspots on a knife.

And say but it isn’t a knife. After they apprehend you You’re all like It has No blade and it’s technically not a knife and then press charges on them if they prosecute you I’d be interested to see the outcome of something like that.

nope. Just like Cold Steel replaceable blades they will be trash and hold no edge. My Guys, look up pocket scalpel or folding scalpel. The blades at 100 for $8

There are better knives than that. For example, my everyday carry. I push a button to remove the blade. So I don't have to care around a knife case
