Paul Hardcastle - Lost Summer (The Extended Mix)

Around the mid-90’s, I first heard “Northern Lights” from the Jazzmasters 1 CD and I was hooked on the Hardcastle sound. The CD also contained “Lost Summer” and that track is still one of my all-time Hardcastle favorites. Perfect for chillaxin’, roadtrippin’, the backyard cookout and simply creating your own vibe. Gary Barnacle’s sax and flute are straight fire! Hope you all like this extended version. Relax, chill and enjoy!

this came out in 1993 just before summertime I think, my twin boys were born in September of 93 so I have very vivid memories of this song, that summer, and 1993 in general, that entire album was 🔥🔥🔥!!!

Same with me!..I heard the Jazzmasters first album back in 1993 and was hooked! I believe Gary Barnacle was only featured on this album. PH used several different saxophonists and other musicians over the years.

There used to be a smooth jazz station in Chicago (WMUA?) and I was hauling cars to Chi-town from LA and whenever I could pick up the station (about Joliet) I'd listen as I delivered and picked up all over Chicagoland usually 2-3 days. That was in the early 2000's. So for me, this is the sound of Chicago and I just love it!!!
