100% with Cheryl on the carbon tax net value for many people, they like to cry about the tax saying it's hurting poor people, but the reality is poor people actually get more back in rebates than they spend because they dont spend money on carbon taxed items, but of course everybody ignores that and the rich people that it hits the hardest use their influence to mislead the poor people because they're selfish and dont want to reduce their footprint.

Drought occurred in present-day Alberta throughout the 1700s. Drought became so extreme in the 1790s that the North Saskatchewan River ran so low – and even dry at one point – and fur traders were unable to move their goods down the river as a result [1]. Drought in 1850 had the same impact [2]. Data pulled from Alberta Drought Data. So in the 1700s what caused the climate change was it fossil fuels???? In 1850 what caused the drought Fossil Fuels and why was the forest fire numbers still down, was due due to more leafed forests not replanted for forestry, was it that hardly anybody was living in the forests smoking and quadding and having campfires. Im just asking questions but they do need to be answered by people without agendas.

Call me an armchair whatever but I don't believe the economists are capturing all the costs of the carbon tax. I've seen the numbers for what it's costing just the small facility I work at and it's crazy, six figures a year and will break seven if it keeps going up. That's the industrial portion not consumer but if you don't believe there is a trickle down cost to consumers I have ocean front property in Saskatchewan to sell you.

If you saved up and bought a bulldozer, and ran it independently everyday, you will annually lose/pay thousands on the carbon tax. The people who get $200 should pay that and help the bulldozer person innovate. The way it is allows mega corps with the margins to take over, while buying votes.
P.S. Awesome show! Keep it up.
