It's like the republicans don't realize what factor makes a trans person's mental health so bad, idk maybe it's probably because of the bullying, slander, and demonization they get from the right on a daily basis rather than all of sudden after you transition suddenly you get more depression for no reason.

Exactly, its ok to be confused to see your little boy or girl switch genders and talk about how they arent what youve seen them as since they were born. But if you love your kid and want them to lead a good life you need to suck it up and move past your confusion and listen to them, dont try and shut them down and force them to not be who they wanna be. I promise you living with being slightly confused with a trans child is way better then you dealing w8th your kid physically removing themselves from this world early with you having partial blame and responsibility for that self removal.

Leadership is a parent's calling to protect their offspring from danger. What is best for a child may not always be agreed upon with the child. Balance, structure, and guidance must take priority in order to have a chance at a healthy outcome. Self destruction in any form should never recieve parental occomidation. One can never be more authentic than the way one has passed through the womb.
Acceptance of true self is the only way to real healing.

The problem is that gender reassignment surgery does not reduce suicidality. Seven to ten years after transitioning is the highest rate of suicide. Affirming their delusion is the most damaging thing you can do. Instead, they need help. We should get them that help.
