SL9 caused changes on Jupiter's surface? C'mon, we've never even SEEN Jupiter's surface. SL9 caused catastrophic discoloration in Jupiter's cloudtops, but whether or not it made it to Jupiter's surface before burning up and/or exploding, who knows? We have no idea what Jupiter's surface is made of, how far below the clouds it is...etc. sure dont want a SL9 to hit Earth, but I expect scientists to be accurate in a story like this. Jupiter's surface?!? Yeah right.
