With the Multi-Carrier Shipping Label App by Pluginhive, you can integrate DHL with Shopify to completely automate the order fulfillment process.

Once you install the App, it will automatically configure your Store Location as the Shipping Origin. You can modify the address or add multiple shipping addresses if required.

The next step is to configure your DHL account credentials.

Login to the DHL XML portal using your DHL account details. Head to the “XML Services status” section, from where you can get the Test Site ID and the Account number. Once your account is approved, you will get an email that will contain the Test Site Password. Once you get these test credentials, you can contact your account manager for getting the production credentials.

Now Your DHL Express account is successfully integrated.

Here, you can see the test side id..similarly you can get the production site id as well.

If you are a German merchant, you can use DHL Paket to handle the shipping process.

By default, the app displays all DHL services at the checkout. Or, you can choose your preferred DHL services under Rates Automation.

Now, Let’s see how the app automates the shipping process.

Add a product to the cart, and proceed to checkout. The app displays real-time DHL shipping rates for all the available services.

Let us select DHL Express 12, and place the order. Now, let us place another order, but this time, let’s use Free Shipping as the shipping method.

You can view both the orders in the app dashboard. Here, the shipping service is set to DHL Express 12, the one we selected while placing the order. However, for the other order placed using Free Shipping, the app automatically selects DHL Express Worldwide, which is the cheapest available shipping service.

Select the orders and generate shipping labels. Now, you can easily print shipping labels for both the orders with a single click.

Now, initiate the pickup request for both the orders. Once your packages are ready, mark the orders as Shipped. You can also download the Manifest, required by the DHL pickup agent.

The app automatically marks the orders as Fulfilled and adds DHL tracking details to Shopify orders.

Now you can start tracking your shipments. The app displays the live tracking status of the orders on the Tracking dashboard. It also saves you a lot of time and effort by automatically notifying customers on every tracking status update via emails.
