Explore the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy | Travel Guide and Vlog

We made a day trip to the leaning tower of Pisa Italy, as we traveled to Florence. We only had 6 hours, but ended up having a wonderful time. It was so worth it! We checked on bag storage and used Radical Storage. We then walked to see the beautiful Pisa Cathedral and Leaning Tower of Pisa. Both of these amazing structures exceeded our expectations, as we toured the cathedral and climbed the tower. There are plenty of things to see and do in Pisa Italy and we topped off a great afternoon with some delicious pizza. We didn’t get the tower straightened back up, but had an amazing time. If you make it to this area of Italy, we highly recommend a stop to climb the leaning tower.

As the Retirement Travelers, we have always dreamed of traveling, but we never in a million years thought we would become travel vloggers and start a YouTube channel. But, that is what we did! In 2021, we made the big decision to extreme downsize to just a large and small backpack, each. We started our journey around the world beginning in Central America. We hope that over the next many years, we will have seen many beautiful things, made many memories and new friends, and shared the experience with our children and grandchildren.

My favourite part of the video was when you showed all the people trying to get the shot holding up the tower! So funny!
We were there 10 years ago trying to take the same photo. But my problem was I hadn’t learned how to use my camera properly, so I didn’t know how to get rid of being in silhouette. I literally had to ask another random tourist who was there with a Nikon camera how to use my own camera! 😂

I was there in 2018. I left my bags at the train station in Florence (best 4 euros I spent) and made it a day trip before I checked into my hotel in Florence at the end of day. I hope you went to the little museum across from the tower. Once in a lifetime.

You two are hilarious. Great video. Last time I was in Pisa was summer 1991. I think not long after it was permanently closed for safety reasons. So cool it is open again after a likely structural retrofit.
