Everyone who works, you're appreciated no matter how small your contribution to society. The grind sucks but we're all in it together

My first job was at McD's too, in high school. To this day, I still believe it should be a requirement for everyone to work at a fast food place at some point in their lives. It shows you what those workers have to go through every day and night, and at the least it might change how you act and treat the staff when you go.

I work at McDonald’s and yesterday was my first day on my own after two days training, and it wasn’t so bad as I thought. It’s easy if you pay close attention and always try to listen for anyone who calls out for a tray of nuggets or paddies. I was on chicken for the whole day, all I had to do was fill in the empty trays and constantly watch and see how the levels of food. The only bad part I find is the grease getting flicked at your arms. I also had to be the runner two times, getting quarter meat and some onion shakers. I’m also 14 btw >>

My feet may hurt but I’m honestly so happy to be there, it’s so exciting to have a job!

So don’t worry if you’re nervous, just listen and do as your told, that’s all you have to do. Most importantly, be careful. Although you are required to wear non slip shoes, I find that the floors are greasy anyway.

You gonna make it bro. Attention to detail, good at quick math, multitasking, covering multiple roles, going to class after all that. Hustler. Use this as a stepping stone friend. Big ups.

❤my first job at 18 was fast food. I only lasted about 3 months because the place was toxic and not worth it, but then I started working for the YMCA so it was a good move to leave. Now at 23, I work as a medical interpreter for my local health dept and am so proud of how far I've come. Just keep learning and growing. Look for opportunities❤

I worked at McDonald's for 2 years and I feel that sigh before work. It felt like I would never leave that place. Save that money and keep your head up.
