you can actually do some good math on the laser stuff.
like, with the estimate that the laser takes up about a fifth of a unit by base, you can scale that up based on relative portal size, and then the slope of the laser on the output is the same slope as the input, relative to the portal (which is similar but different to a reflection)
for instance, in 2-7 (18:56) if you keep the input portal as-is, i can tell you with certainty that if you put the portal from (3, 5) to (4, 2) it would hit the target. [bottom left corner of level is (0, 0)]
(note: i dont think this would solve the level, thats a different question entirely)

23:01 a redstone torch turning itself off. When that torch is on a nonpowered block, it turns on, if on a powered block, it turns off, oftentimes used as a NOT gate, but when hooked to itself, it’s a rapid pulser (need 4 to prevent all burning out).

This game suffers heavily from the simplicity of its assets. That other cursed one, was great, because it was centered around that, so it was Function from form. This one looks more like form from function, so they had an idea, but after that hired a drunk art designer.
