I went to a vintage aircraft showcase, and they had a 1941 Stearman. Was in Pearl Harbour in the days before the attack, but was moved due to engine failure. It looked amazing on the ground and flying over.

Why do radial engines make so much mechanical noise, especially at start up? They all sound like a can of loose bolts... that is clacking around in there?
