Car Tech - BMW iDrive 4.2

At the 2013 New York International Auto Show, BMW rolled out an update of its popular iDrive system, which now includes a 4G hot spot and four new apps.

I drive has been around before the iPhone came out, BMW was the only Manufacturer at the time to Fully support and integrated Apple products, and even still as you can see from this video. Has took car tech above what most other have mocked or took keynotes on to make their in car tech better. And like any Car or luxury brand for that matter if not taken care of it will give anyone a headache to fix. That's why since 2005 almost 65% do Lease programs on almost any car or truck in the U.S. market

Ignorent people like you don't realize a few things. First of all, BMW has a massive partnership directly with apple, so they purposely only stick with iphones. Secondly, someone at apple sat down with a pencil and line graphs to determine that most of BMW users use iphones. It has nothing to do with "getting with the times".

At 2:00 Cooley is golding up a Motorola Droid (RAZR?, so obviously the majority (if not all) of the features also work with Android phones. (Also, ..Cooley would have said if it didn't.) BMW has been making "connected cars" for the longest time and Apple products obviously have a massive head start on smartphones. It's only natural for BMW to concentrate on iPhone integration first.
The new HTC One, Galaxy S3/Note2 and the Nexus 4 are the HOTNESS, but so is the iPhone 5. Get over it.

@josef959. Someone in the comments was putting the iDrive system down and also saying something along lines of how people who drive these cars are Idiots along with other stuff. I just realize there was a few typos in what I was trying to say. In a nutshell I was standing up the Technology and longevity of the brand which is BMW.

The low end market. In developed countries Apple reins king. People who can generally afford BMWs have Iphones.

Why? I don't know. It's just the way Apple rolls. What people need to realize is because BMW has a partnership with Apple they play by Apple's rules, whatever they may be. It has nothing to do with BMW "getting with the times", if they wanted to they could make an Android adapter in five minutes.

iphones are so subsidized that ANYONE can afford one. I've seen people living off of food stamps with new iphone 5s. On the other hand, I paid $350 for my Nexus 4. It has nothing to do with affordability.
