Today's 3D Print 150 TronXY X3S CR 10 Clone Initial Unbox, Assembly, First Print
Показать описание
I was going to pan this printer. I was going to pan it bad. but the more I messed with and used it the more impressed I got (not quite what You think :-) I still say avoid this and get a CR-10 or Tornado. :-)
I have to say the printer DOES work. it is also quite a bit cheaper than the CR-10. you can buy this printer for less than a maker select wanhao duplicator and almost as cheap as an MP Mini and you get CR-10 print volume. I think it they can get this at or below $250 and keep it their this would be a good value buy.
The printer bed needs work. namely the y Carriage plate. the prints come out astonishingly good. incredible in fact compared to what I THOUGHT I was going to get. but a simple S*&T ton of noise. all because of that y carriage plate. it "vibrates" and those vibrations end up as "noise" in the final prints.
Stay tuned for my follow up video and a possible $10 or less fix for that problem.
While I think a CR-10 or Tornado is a better buy this printer is pretty impressive strictly from an engineering point of view for efficiency. they cut a lot of corners to get the price down much lower than a CR-10 (remember a CR-10 is $450 the $340 CR-10 are "burn offs" of the original CR-10 version) this is $260. pretty impressive how they figured out how to make it cheaper while still having a usable working CR-10 class printer. I am impressed. I would not buy one but still impressed :-) Bad buy or not the engineer who worked on this deserves some credit for that feat.
if they update it with a proper thick stiff Y Plate and good springs this printer could be a contender. if your budget really MUST stay below $300 and you really want CR-10 big print volume this printer might not be so bad.
