A mayoral candidate in São Paulo was released from the hospital Monday after one of his rivals slammed him with a metal chair during a televised debate.

He apparently suffered a fractured rib in Sunday's attack, which happened after he referred to allegations of sexual misconduct involving the rival candidate.

Brazilian here… the one hit is the only speaking the truth… the only one not using public money or his for campaign.
