Just an observation: Since you have your script at the very end of the document, the document is already ready! You don't need document ready when script tags are just above /body

How I learned jQuery:
Learned Javascript, now I google the jQuery equivs whenever I need them.

It's really great that you show how to download it, where to put it, the order of things and all that, I spent half an hour the other day wondering why my JQuery wasn't working on sublime text when it did in CodePen and it was about the order of the tags, I had to go to StackOverflow to find out.
