I don't know if they intended this, but they made the fact they are called Vindicators make so much more sense now. They aren't there to be heroes, just vindicate the survivors that they were in the right by removing everyone who would disagree. So good.

Alright, so what we learned from this mini-series is:
1. The Vindicators are kind of lazy
2. Million ants don't know what to make of himself
3. Crocubot has some issues he might need to work through
4. Alan is kind of useless (at helping the team)
5. Noob Noob could potentially be far more useful than anyone else on the team but they just ignore him
6. Vance and Supernova enjoy taking lives
7. Supernova actually destroyed that planet by accident
8. Supernova is insecure
9. The three lost members were killed needlessly in a drunken rage
10. Vance doesn't mind killing the innocent
11. Alan is an sterile alcoholic
12. Rick was the one who did the heroic thing and the Vindicators just took credit for it.
13. They have committed genocide unwittingly multiple times.
14. They most likely never actually done anything heroic in the first place

... Kind of seems like they deserved dying in Rick's sloppy death trap after all...

0:01 Starting from episode 8-10, seeing one of the heroes in the title card from being Heroic to feeling haunted or depressed by what's happening and seeing Supernova going from hero to pure evil is really cool.

1:55 I love the details here in their faces. Supernova's expression changes because she's an actual psychopath with who needs admiration, Vance's face doesn't change because he's an actual sociopath who only cares about himself, and Alan falters because he's reminded what a fraud he is.

You know what I realized? Rick killed the vindicators when he was drunk. Super Nova killed half her team when she was drunk.

Vance survives being a vindicator for so long because he knows how to play the game. I actually respect the man a little more after this mini series. It fits his character too, no one in the right mind would join the vindicators without any superpowers.

That really puts emphasis on them being fake heroes.

I love how she says we're heroes and he says no we're vindicators. It perfectly defines the word vindicate, which is sort of a mix of the words justify, dictate and avenge in a rightous way.
