My favorite trick for avoiding crowds: go to the park that had early entry (i.e., Morning Extra Magic Hours) yesterday. On Early Entry days, the EMH park of the day is already moderately full with on-site guests before the off-site guests and locals begin to arrive, so by mid-morning, it's the most crowded park of the four. But most folks don't go to the same park 2 days in a row. So, all of those folks that were crowded into the Magic Kingdom (or wherever) yesterday are now in other parks, and the crowds at the MK will be much smaller.

Be honest people, how many of you when you saw the opening line about avoiding crowds at WDW, said to yourself- "stay home" or "don't go"???? LOL

We are actually planning our trip mid Sept. When we first heard about the Aug Star Wars open, we thought about cancelling. But after the Disneyland open, I'm not worried. We don't care about SW and hopefully the people who do go then stay away from where we are!😊

We've been going every year since 1994. We use to do the Christmas party every year in early December. Not any more. The last few times it was packed. The wait times weren't any different than the waits before noon. The park was elbow to elbow and we couldn't even see some of the performances. However, the cookies were good. ;). We've been going in January the last couple of years. It's not as crowded as mid to late December, but the parks are still packed and lines can be long. This last January a cast member told us there's no longer a least crowded month.

Last time my family visited Walt Disney World, it was in the middle of October. We thought it would be less busier than the summertime, but in reality, it was even worse (not sure how though). My additional advice is to only do one Disney park per day, but if you do more than one park per day than narrow it down to two (we did three). Try to visit the parks on their least busiest days (you'll have to do the research on what days are the least busiest for each park). Get to the parks before they open, and once you get inside, run to their most popular attraction before it gets too busy and get a Fastpass after riding it so you can ride it later (you'll have to look up what the most popular attraction for each park). And if you are also going to other parks in Orlando like Universal and SeaWorld, don't worry about them too much because they won't be busy as Walt Disney World. Simply just do the same things I mentioned above for those parks as well and you'll be fine.

Hop from park to park throughout the day and ride all your favorite rides when the wait times are very low several times in a row.

Great Grams and all of the other characters distract. Get rid of them.
