PLEASE ADVISE IF MORE OF THESE VIDEOS WILL BE WORTHWHILE.
This video follows a number of requests from modellers who are totally new to INKSCAPE, plus they may own or may be thinking about buying a cutting machine. I use a Cricut Maker 3 and demonstrate in my other videos how this has changed the way I model buildings.

One of the things I use a lot of is Scalescenes scratch building sheets and kits and INKSCAPE can be used to extract parts from the kits you purchase to use in scratch building. (Video on 'how to' is on my YOUTUBE channel).

There are many great videos that show how to use INKSCAPE, however, they can be quite daunting for the complete novice. I am publishing this video to see what interest there is in making a few more videos on the subject of really starting at the very beginning.

I only started using Inkscape a couple of years ago with no prior knowledge of how it worked and self taught so not the GURU (plus thanks to Michael Scott on his videos).

Great idea Alan, as I said on facebook, I'm new to modelling an inkscape and up to now it's been very much trial and error watching what is already out there. This starting from the very basics is a great idea. In this short video it's clarified a lot of hours of mistakes !! Keep them coming please!!

Hi Alan, many thanks for creating this video and posting in Facebook! I want to learn how to use Inkscape in creating cardstock buildings of my own design. Presently, I use Photoshop to modify cardstock kits, mostly purchased and downloaded from Clever Models in the U.S. I have 2 cutting machines, an older Cameo and a new Cameo 4 made by Silhouette. When creating buildings with Inkscape, do you apply any surface designs or for a "print and cut" on your machine? Or do you just design the geometry, then cut with the Maker 3 and paint later? All the best, Sam
