The only watches id ever put a financial strain on myself for are the AP royal oak or the patek philippe nautilus. A certified investment and id just sell it a few months to a year latter

I like Invicta and Citizen quite a lot. They have tons of different styles to choose from.

Excellent advice. The very nature of the hobby is to want the best. A panerai caught my eye, I thought hmm 🤔 when I saw the price £116.000. Sell my house? Nah, maybe look at something I actually like, my U boat Darkmoon turns more heads & my Monaco looks just as beautiful, but I'll ask my son & daughter to but me a casio for my birthday & I'm more than happy. Some of the products are just ridiculous & there is no need for the huge price tag.

Be willing to buy second hand at the right places,
I got a GMW B5000 at £200 relly wanted on but £450 was to much,
Don't but for the sake of buying.
Wait if needed.
Defo look at multiple sources of info and try to see the watch in the flesh before hand.

I've heaed the term, "watch poor, " where you own a watch that's so expensive you never wear it because you know you can't afford to fix or replace it.

I've just started, small collection. 1. Seiko Prospex Radio Sync Solar. 2. Tissot PRX 3. Casio G-Shock GA2100NN-1A Clear Black 4. Swatch "Classic Lines" Automatic. I love my little collection. Nothing too crazy, hoping to add a few more to all within the 250-500$ range. Holy grail watch is Grand Seiko, I want one so bad. Can probably get one in a year or two.

where or what app do you recommend selling the watches?

Also should treat it as an investment. There are watches that hold value and can resell and there are watches that drop value to where it could be a poor investment.
