In Myanmar, reports say security forces killed more than a hundred people on Saturday, in what would be the bloodiest day there since last month's coup.
That's according to the website Myanmar Now, which put Saturday's deaths at least 114... in addition to more than 300 killed since early February.
The killings came as the military observed the annual Armed Forces Day.
The leader of the coup, General Min Aung Hlaing, gave a televised speech,... continuing to justify the coup, saying that the deposed civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi has failed to investigate alleged voter fraud in last November's general election, which her party won in a landslide.
There are growing concerns that armed ethnic groups that oppose the coup could take action, causing the situation to spiral out of control.
