One thing that the Gimli Glider (an Air Canada 767 that ran out of fuel due to a faulty Imperial to Metric conversion error) said there was a huge difference between no engine power versus the usual minimum throttle idle settings. He dropped a lot faster than expected. He also said the RAM air turbines started to fail as they slowed to land at an old decommissioned airfield in Gimli, Canada
