I picked tobacco when I was a kid. Hands were sticky and dirty with black tar at the end of the day. But when they hung them in thr rafters in the barn to dry....it smelled marvelous!!!!

Back home in Romania 🇷🇴, we used to get each leaf on a string and let them dry outside. This brought back some memories 😞❤
I too quit smoking in one day that was 15 years ago! But every now and then if i smell a good cigar i do go near by just to get closer to the smoke 😂

This is for higher end cigars. It goes on to cure. Something like 95% of the worlds tobacco is just hung as leaves to dry for months... these people perform an art of transformation ❤

I started smoking over 60 years ago, when almost everyone did so, with NO health warnings; now I am being penalised by price gouging and Australian Government overtaxing of tobacco because I am addicted. Addicts on illegal substances who should be in jail get treated better than I ! Everywhere are public notices stating that I am being ostracised; I can't even smoke on streets with trucks and buses pumping out exhaust fumes. I can't even legally grow my own tobacco for personal use ! This society is sick !@

I remember in Georgia my Uncle and Aunt had a tobacco farm. It was picked and hung in a barn .

Omg this reminds me of my childhood😢😢😢 My earliest memory my grandpa has tobacco plantation, i help them harvest every pieces of leaves nd stick it in a bamboo then place it in an improvised oven to dry
