This classic from 1970 was written and performed by British singer/songwriter Lally Stott, but it was Scottish group Middle Of The Roads cover released just a month later that went on to sell over 10 million copies! Although their version is one of the best selling songs of all time, it did not chart in North America. In the spring of 1971 Mac and Katie Kissoon had a hit with their soul infused version, which reached the top 20 in America and top 10 in Canada. Today the song is best remembered as a Middle Of The Road europop classic, that helped define the genre in the early 70s.
