Federal regulatory policy requires agencies to conduct cost-benefit analyses, and for the first time in 20 years, the White House is updating the guidance on how to conduct this analysis.

To help encourage academics to contribute their expertise to this updated guidance, the Yale Tobin Center for Economics Policy and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) hosted a webinar with representatives from the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) on how to submit public comments.

Panelists included:

Shagufta Ahmed, Senior Policy Fellow, Yale Tobin Center for Economic Policy, on leave from the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA)

Sam Berger, Associate Administrator, White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA)

Kenneth Gillingham, Professor of Economics at the Yale School of the Environment, former senior economist White House Council of Economic Advisors (CEA)

Gopi Shah Goda, Senior Fellow, Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), former senior economist White House Council of Economic Advisors (CEA)
