Why not use the merchant at the end of round 2 to trade one food for 3 brick. Then plan your last obelisk on the 3 stone, 6 brick, 2 food spot. Then play the Boon of Osiris to save your obelisk. And lastly, place it on the 2 brick spot right next to your other obelisks at the beginning of round 3?

What was the benefit in holding off on building the sphinx, at the end of round 3?
It looked like you could have gone ahead and built it before withdrawing (?).

When you withdraw at the end of the first round you forget to take a stone when you take your city card.
