I wish people looking for custom work would realize these things. Everyone deserves to be paid for their work and time.

I tried pricing my shirts anywhere from 20-25 depending how much vinyl I used and ppl always complained it was to much. They dont realize all the work and cost it goes into designing and making the shirt. Specially when the custom design takes hrs to create

Wonderful information. I've heard so many different ways of doing it but this is easy peasy. Thank you so much.

Ha perfect timing for this video! I had someone ask me for 4 custom shirts 3 layers of htv..I priced $15 each still feeling like I was not charging enough she said well I’ll take two instead 🙈 so I said well the price will go up to $20 each and she didn’t get any so I wondered if I charged to much.. thank you so much

Thanks for the information. I just did some t-shirts and first ask for $15 they asked for a discount because they want 10 pieces, so I said ok $1 less. The surprise was that they want in the front a picture (different on each 👕) and the same text on the back. I feel like I was stolen to myself because the job was a lot and the price to low. So now I learn my lesson.

Thanks so much for this video! I have been struggling with this for a while now and was not charging for that extra material.

I live in a very rural area and I'm a stay at home mom. However, I do own a cameo and I make tons of stuff for my kids/family all the time. So when someone sees something I've made, they always ask me if I'm willing to take orders, which I will if I have the time to do it those next few days. Don't get me wrong, I love making things, it's like my therapy lol, but people think just bc I'm a stay at home mom and don't have a real job like them that I should just do it for them for free. They never seem to understand how much time and effort and supplies we have to buy in order to make all these pretty things they want. These people don't even want to pay $15 for something much less $23 or more for a shirt. It's really sad. They think they shouldn't have to pay no more than $5 for a shirt, and that doesn't even pay for my gas to even go out and get a blank shirt to do lol.

Helpful and informative as always, thank you. My Mum had her own successful business in the 1980s. Her advice is always appreciated as well as watching YouTube videos like yours 😃 x

That was good information to know, thank you for sharing, my question is what if you get a order of 10 to 20 T-shirt do we charge them the same or do we give them a small discount and if we do how we go about doing that?

I definitely needed this today. I sold myself short & still felt I charged to much. Hearing this I didn't charge nearly enough🤦‍♀️ Oh well, you live and you learn. I'll price better next time

That was so simple! Thank you. I am doing custom social media decals for jeeps and businesses. As things pick up this will keep it simple

What do you recommend to price my work at if it takes me longer than the "average" person. I'm just not sure it's fair to charge way more because I take longer to make things. I want to get paid for my time but also want to be fair to customers. Due to health issues and coordination difficulty sometimes a shirt that would take some 30 mins will take me 2 or more hours.

I've just finished doing a sublimation t-shirt. It took more than 3hrs, but I will only charge for 1.
I'm glad you are feeling better.

I can't thank y'all enough for your hard work in putting these videos together! I absolutely love watching all of your creations. I was wondering if you had any helpful tips on how to stock sizes/colors of shirts when just starting out before your number of sales help tell you whats best for you to stock? If at all possible I would like to avoid having to run to the store every time I get an order! Also any tips on how you get your fonts that can be used commercially. I've looked a lot at the various font websites but it gets overwhelming and I was wondering if there was an easier way to find them with the ability to use commercially. Thanks so much!!

I’m so happy I came across you video, I’m in the process of creating my own merch and I wanted to know would it be best to buy my shirts in bulk or purchase the shirt one by one when the customer place a order?

Great video, helps a lot. Quick question, how do you factor in the depreciation cost of the equipments (heatpress machine, printer, cutter)?
