Mahomes has never got enough credit for how smart he is. He has total control over everything on the field, making checks, audibles, setting protections, coming out of the draft Andy and veach were impressed with his photographic memory, before he knew anything about the chiefs offensive playbook, he memorized everything they threw at him first try. The dude is crazy intelligent about football. People see the athleticism and I think it blinds them from his intelligence

I'm not worried about the Chiefs ego if they lose. Mahomes & Reid would use it to keep the team from being lazy. But the tremendous confidence it would give Lamar and the Ravens would be horrible for the Chiefs. The Ravens would play the entire season fired up, knowing they can beat the reigning Superbowl Champs. A win is more important for Baltimore, and could easily lift their record by the end of the season.

To be fair to Ravens fans, Nick has made all these same arguments before when people are against his Chiefs.

He talks up how critical it'll be to win the game, then if it happens, immediately hand waves it away saying it doesn't actually matter because it wasn't the playoffs.

So even if Lamar has a great game & the Ravens win, don't expect Nick to come on here & give them proper credit.
