I've ordered the book from Amazon - through repetiton I learnt the alterd scale through the cycle of 4th's in the open position on my 4 string - I understand everything you're saying here yet need to put it all together so thank you for joining more of the dots together for me!

I started playing with a high C years ago, and realized without that, a lot of these cords just don't sound well without that string. It looks like you got a new bass? I can't see the headstock what is the make and model?
