ESFJ Explained: What it Means to be the ESFJ Personality Type

preview_player
Показать описание
Warm, cheerful, conscientious and social, the #ESFJ is an #extravert who seeks to help others and be a valuable contributor. Estimated at around 10% of the population, ESFJs are relatively common but more so among women than men. They promote harmony, inclusion and cooperation between people. For them, it is more important to preserve harmony and goodwill even when it is on an irrational basis. For this reason, in response to problems, ESFJs are more likely to appeal to people’s feelings and offer emotional support and encouragement rather than focus on technical solutions and ideas. #16 personalities #MBTI

ESFJs. “They’re not really thinking at all. They’re just walking around, looking and feeling.”

I’m an INFJ wanting to learn more about my ESFJ husband. We think in different ways but I adore how what you guys want more than anything is to make sure everyone around you is happy and comfortable. That’s such an admirable trait and I hope you guys get the appreciation you truly deserve.

I am an ESFJ; however, I don't really let my environment and the people around me influence my personality or the way I act. In fact, the reason I end up detaching myself from a person or thing is because I can't and am not willing to compromise my views and ways tbh

One of my good friends is a consul, this is very accurate and making me love her so much to hear her personality put in such a way

Im an ENTP; ESFJs can actually be very studious and interested in deeper matters but they are usually centered around human impact in my experience. But ExFJs with their inferior Ti are not to be underestimated. They can be intelligent and very articulate.

I’ve had a lot of bad experiences with ESFJs (male and female). I was just in a 5 mo relationship with an ESFJ man, and I love him a lot. He’s different from others that I’ve met, I actually thought before that he was an ENTP, which is the type I was looking to date. But, I am happy that I experienced being with him. We are taking time apart for now. I’m very impressed that he listened to my constructive criticism and said he’s going to write it down. I really hope that in time, we can try again.

I had a wonderful conversation with an ENFP yesterday online (my “natural” pair), and everything just clicked. That is the type of guy that would make for an easy relationship, easier match than any other, next to ISTJ. But my heart still wants my ESFJ. I don’t care if it’s hard sometimes, I don’t care if it takes work. I love him and he helps me get out of my head and into the world. And I really just love him. I hope he comes back to me. I’m an ISTP.

My mom is an ESFJ and cares for others except her own children. It’s almost like a facade she has to look the caring part (she truly believes that’s what’s good) but won’t do it for her own family. She doesn’t even phone her (grown) children and is wrapped up in her own stuff.

As an ENTP-A who was in a relationship with an ESFJ-T for years I now understand why it didn’t work out.

Well, that explains why dating through work has always been a complete failure. I am a INTJ nurse and I think healthcare is filled with ESFJ's. I HATE conformity, I hate gossip, I hate bureaucracy and I will only be part of a group if I approve of all the members. Otherwise, I wont tie someone elses name to mine. I can see so many coworkers how rubbed me the wrong way and I am sure totally offended the ESFJ's I worked with.

I just learned I have changed from ISFJ to ESFJ after lot of things I've been for 2 years. But unlike what is generally described on the trait, I don't really depend on people's feedback just for me to feel my value. Maybe because I'm used to being an introvert and knowing my self worth

Here to take points to honor the individuality of the ESFJs in my immediate and extended family. They need to be valued well. I don't appreciate the pigeon-holing of their interests though as I've met some of them in very various fields. - INTP

As an INFP... ESFJs seem like they got a social superpower, that I will never have. But as admirably dedicated they are for people and community life, they are also quite scary, because it is hard to tell if they actually genuinely react positively, or they strategize against you secretly by talking crap behind your back. Being too friendly can be reasonably suspicious to some. Maybe I have had a bad luck with these folks. Still very admirable people worth respecting.

When I was younger I was probably this, then became more of an istp.
