I love how much the strings and horn section sounds like Steve's D-War. It just goes back to how a lot of this score feels like Steve's real style finally breaking through, and stepping out of Zimmer's shadow.

Definitely my favorite track in the complete/FYC score. There's a lot more that's added to this version in comparison to the album suite. There's a new ominous opening to the track, some louder buildup with the drums starting at 1:24, the Megatron vs. Optimus cue at 3:40, and the way the music rises up at 4:10. It all flows together so well, my only complaint is the ending feels really anti-climactic.

Imagine if all these movies had the quality of the 1st and 3rd films, with plots/lore that linked together. This track sounds like the end to an epic franchise, but sadly what we see on screen doesn’t match up to the music.
