Volvo top strut bearing/mount re-packing with grease

Warning: as of 2020 don't buy Lemforder mount bearing plate. It's cheap and made in china and lasts only 6-12 months. May try Cortego but not sure. Ina is no longer available for 2001-2009 (not sure if the plates for P1 fit on P2, let us know if you find out because for P1 you can still buy Ina plates). Don't forget to repaint the plate because it will rust away, and also watch the linked video with rust developing under the strut towers in countries with slat on roads in winter times. Careful not to get grease on the three studs - they may stretch and break when tightening, clean them with acetone before placing the three nuts with washer

Hello Peppermint, I have a 2010 CX90 RLine with 87, 000 kilometers. When it is cold out (above 0 C) The right front has a noise something like a light rattle to a squicking sound. When it warms up outside or even when cold out the noise presents itself. Could it be the spring seat? Otherwise the XC90 handles beautifully and is very tight suspension wise all around. Yes well, if the bearing is damaged enough it can make noises when you turn your steering wheel this way and the other direction. May as well replace the unit eh?

could this be why when I push on my car the top of the strut sticks out alot and it also makes a lot of noise like a squeaky bed
