37 killed, over 3,500 hurt from wave of handheld device blasts in Lebanon

Lebanon said 37 people have been killed and more than 3,500 others injured, after handheld devices used by Hezbollah members exploded across the country over the last two days. Wednesday's explosions featured handheld radios made by Japanese firm Icom, which said it exported the IC-V82 model to the Middle East from 2004 to 2014. However, it stopped producing them 10 years ago. According to reports, Hezbollah purchased the devices around five months ago. Icom has denied making the Hezbollah-linked devices. Sarah Coates reports from Tel Aviv.

As far as criticism goes for Israel sabotaging pagers & walkie-talkies of Hezbollah fighters, just think how much more selective that type of warfare is as compared to Hezbollah lobbing rockets randomly at crowded cities full of citizens. The regrettable collateral damage from the Israeli attacks are far less than rockets falling in cities.

Lebanon is a beautiful country. Imagine youre a tourist in labanon or in transit and the person next to you had this pager on him blow up. Even worse, imagine this person was a bus driver or a doctor in a hospital. Who is responsible? If you think Israel is not to blame for their lack of prescion then you are delusional and you dont even value your own life
