Thank you Klipsch. I own a complete Klipsch Reference Premiere 7.2.4 set with RP-280 mains, RC450 center, R-115SW subs, RP-500SA front Atmos, RP-140SA rear Atmos, and 4 x RB-61 II for the surrounds. I've had (most of) them for about three years and they still bring a smile to my face every time I use them. For music I mainly use the mains and subs only unless the source is more than 2.1. These three speakers are the most important.

These speakers are spectacular and I want to thank Klipsch for giving me the opportunity to experience these before I move on from this world. With movies they are the bomb too! Bombs actually feel like they are ripping through my chest and my wife hates them, unless she is watching with me of course. :-) To this day I am amazed at the sound that fills my room.

I also have another 6.1 Klipsch Reference Premiere setup in another small room. This one uses wall mounted RB-61 II's for the mains and surrounds, two RP-25C for center front and rear, and a R-112SW sub. Everyone that experiences the sound coming from that package is stunned. The R-112SW subs is a BEAST with tight powerful bass and it fills in the low end that the smaller speakers can't produce. It's not quite as good as my main setup, but still stunning. It is also running on far fewer watts, 190w total plus the sub, than my main setup with 560w to spread around plus the two subs.

To anyone sitting on the fence about buying these premiere speakers IMO should do so. You will not be disappointed, and if like me you will smile for years to come. If you listen to a lot of music and some movies I would recommend putting your budget first into a great set of mains and a sub. You can add the rest later and these three speakers are the most important. Next get two rears. Then maybe add surrounds, Atmos, and a second sub if you can. If your budget is limited I would recommend putting all you can into the mains, then a good sub. Sorry Klipsch, but the reference subs are muddy sounding and I do not recommend them. The Reference Premier subs are great, though I have not heard the 10-inch.

One last note. The new 20187 Reference Premiere models are nearly identical to the 2015 models. There are slight decorative changes and a minuscule change to the tweeters. These days you can find the 2015 speakers at quite a bargain and i would not hesitate to jump on those. If you are patient and can wait you can find good deals popping up quite often on Klipsch speakers, though there has not been a single sale the past year on any of the Reference Premiere line.

Klipsch Reference Premiere. Big Sound. No Bullshit. Just the way Paul Wilbur Klipsch intended it to be.

I am building my Home Cinema but I also like Music. A LOT.

I am aiming for the Klipsch RP-250F. I think that's a good start.
Honestly, I never heard Klipsch speakers in person before, but I read from other people's opinions that they are pretty awesome.

What REALLY made me choose these though, is their AMAZING design. They look incredibly cool.

Will the bookshelf speakers compare and work as studio monitors? I don't see anyone using them as monitors though.

I have never liked Klipsch sound. Maybe it was just the rooms I listened in. Honestly it was when I was really into omni- and dipolar speakers. BUT, I am buying these! They are excellent sounding and the price is unbelievable! It is a good time to be into audio. Speakers that sound this good were always out of my reach. Good Job Klipsch!

I know this might sound stupid. There are stupid questions everywhere, right? So, here's mine..
I am planning to make a Home Theater by the end of May, which is like 6 months from now. Is there a chance that RP-280Fs will -for whatever reason- be discontinued? I heard that the new series will come in less than a month, so I'm guessing there's no reason to produce earlier products anymore? I don't know, but could someone enlighten me regarding my goal by the end of May? Is it possible or should I just give up.

I have my pair of klipsch RF-7 II speakers. And the center RC-64 II speaker also the klipsch RS-62 II surrounds. Hooked up to my Marantz SR7007 receiver. Got a xbox one hooked up the the receiver and I am in sound heaven. I don't own a subwoofer yet. But I can say that subwoofer power from the RF-7 II are not Nota problem giving off bass there in one word FANTASTIC.

I own the R110SW subwoofer and its hands down the best £280 I've ever spent, very expensive mind you, but its powerful and detailed - worth every penny!

I am tempted to buy the 280 to build a home theather around them, but wouldn't the 160 do the exactly same thing if I use a sub and cut at 80hz? I mean, I struggle to find a reson here to buy 280 over 160 because no matter what I will have a subwoofer in the HT.

Hi, I bought rp260, rp150, rp440c, r110sw.
1. rp440c is 135w not 150w (as per company site).
Very good center speaker.detail sound, looks with clear vocal, feels no need any subwoofer.
we can use this as L, R and C.
2. rp150. looks good but straggling in detail and clarity if u compare with the other company bookshelf.
3. r110sw is good for small room.
4.rp 260f is good in 80hz crossover.But.below that it loss the detail.Front grill needs more support .It always keep a 3mm gap in the top.

Is the Premiere series a replacement for the Reference 1 and 2 products? Or is this a line of it's own and with a much higher price range?

My media room came pre-wired for 7 speakers.. Center, left, right and 4 on ceiling. Can I use RP-502S II on the ceiling ? Or would there be any better speaker to use? Ty
