Mel Tormé was dad's favourite singer, so it was a buzz for him to get to sing a duet with him. Mel was also a fan of dad's and they ended up being great friends.
This version of Let's Call the Whole Thing Off is from The Garry Moore Show. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be footage left of the encounter, but I'm glad the audio remains. They also recreated it on Mel's UK radio special.
