4 Ways To Close The Distance In Boxing 🥊

Показать описание
Here are 4 ways to close the distance in boxing demonstrated by Kazakh pro boxer Gennady "GGG" Golovkin. Definitely try and learn the last one!
Number 1. Cutting off the ring.
Cutting off the ring herds your opponent into a corner, getting them up close. Instead of chasing head-on, slide sideways in their direction. If they go left, you go left to face them. This tactic limits their movement, keeping you in control of the fight's pace.
Number 2. Distract with punches.
Use your punches to divert your opponent's attention while you advance with your footwork. Opt for straight punches as they're the safest.
Number 3. Walking in.
You can walk down opponents like Mike Tyson but you must possess strong head movement, hand speed, and power. Your foe should fear your counters or they'll unleash punches once you're in close range.
And number 4. Switching stance.
The stance switch is a subtle technique for closing distance on opponents unnoticed. Though less common today, it's still effective for getting inside.
Success lies in comfort with both stances, ensuring ease in attacking and defending from either side.
