For turmeric, you can make your own medicine.  Take dry powdered turmeric and fresh ground black pepper. Grind the black peppercorns in a coffee grinder.  1 part pepper to 4 parts turmeric.  The black pepper has medicinal qualities that help you absorb the turmeric. The oil acts as a carrier. Heat gently on stove stirring in coconut oil infusing the oil with the medicinal properties. Just enough coconut oil to make the mixture viscous. Pour into a tray, cool in the fridge for 15 min. Take out score with a knife into 1 inch squares. Put back in fridge to fully harden. Remove and break into squares.  Put in a plastic bag and store back in fridge.  You can dose with this several times a day.  It helps with inflammation and the brain. It helps you heal. You can also add other dry spices with medicinal qualities like rosemary, ginger, cayenne.

Fruits like Banana or Apple
are good too
drinking lots of water
plus sunshine like a sunny day on the beach plus a brisk walk of one hour daily.
Also keeping busy with work or partying helps.
more than diet it is family support
and a patient doctor who gives accurate diagnosis and appropriate medication is needed
some bad doctors start shock treatment without exploring other options

Another excellent post. I come from a generation whose athletes relied on desiccated liver pills, brewer's yeast tablets (not a good idea for everyone), bovine gelatin and bee products—mostly honey. MCTs came with the times.

Why did I hear about you only a week ago!! 😢😢😢 It's all part of the process...
I have been a psychiatric "patient" for the last 12 years and tried to get away from the meds by myself many times without any success. I've always quit them too abruptly and haven't supported myself with the right diet... Instead I often drank coffee in the evening 🤦
But now that I know you I feel confident that I can make it 💪

wow amazing you were saying this stuff way back in 2013, it still rings true today. I eat a carnivore diet and my mental health has really never been better.

Hi Kelly. Thank you for jumping off the pharmaceutical bandwagon. It shows that you have integrity.

As a retired alternative heath practitioner I have had wonderful success with simple diets from Vegan to minimal animal food consumption. Again I feel that common sense has to prevail when we think globally. An important question to ask is, can the planet sustain an animal food based diet ? Especially considering that you can achieve the same results using a diet that has sustained humanity for thousands of years in societies that can't even afford animal products. I think that when you incorporated social justice to the mix it helps to sort out the commercial interests and leads to more clarity.

I was a fan of Dr. Price for a while until I found out his research had been hijacked by commercial interests.

Keep up the good work. We need more people like you in the world.

Have you heard of collagen hydroslate? It's a form of gelatin that doesn't have a gelatinous texture. Great Lakes sells it as well.

Hi know Turmeric is a great supplement however I have severe Tinnitus in my left ear and Turmeric is on a long list of Ototoxic herbs and drugs. I developed Tinnitus after a case of Vertigo about 6 months ago. Is there another herb or supplement that has the same qualities as Turmeric that won't make my Tinnitus worse?
