UNICEF: Greece has highest child poverty rate in EU.

One in four children in Greece are living in poverty, according to UNICEF, making it one of the highest rates of child poverty in the EU.

The latest report by the UN children's charity shows a dramatic deterioration in living conditions for Greek kids.

Al Jazeera's John Psaropoulos reports from Peiraieus.

Why would you PLAN to have children when you're already dead broke and in recovery from drug addiction (meaning that you may very well relapse several times before your life is over)? We need to stop having kids and lower the world's population. And no, I don't care about the economic issues it will cause. The long-term environmental and economic problems are going to be far worse than any temporary adjustment periods we may face. When people in poor countries are living on collapsing garbage dumps, it's time to stop creating new people. Humanity is a cancer on this planet.

It was decades of high level of corruption of the whole political Establishment of the both major political parties which was combined with high level of tax evasions of the wealthiest people and business oligarchy that killed Greek economy... Also the lack of possibility of external devaluation through currency devaluation in times of economic crisis didn't helped, because Greek economy couldn't regain competitiveness in short time...
