Part of the 2019 Auto Reform Bill has been ruled unconstitutional by the Michigan Supreme Court. The bill reduced catastrophic care reimbursements, cutting benefits for 18,000 patients. It's the corner of the auto insurance repeal we've heard so much about over the past four years.

MI does have the highest car insurance. Yet, fix the damn roads.

The money is already there to take care of the patients. It's been there for decades, plus interest. The 3.7 billion deficit was based mostly on the 3.1 billion ($400 refund) distributed prematurely, before the Appeals Court ruling. Now ALL (regardless of your choice of coverage) will be paying back the deficit for 15 years per statute, at $48 per year = $720. The rest of the MCCA (catastrophic fund) was due to stock market decline & other. Last heard, there was 21 billion in the catastrophic fund. Look at your policy and shop. We are not hearing of cost savings unless less coverage is purchased. We Can't Wait

Most of the time it wasn't a "choice" they made, it's what they could afford. I only see this as Car Insurance will now skyrocket out of control

People who have a clean record pay for people who don't. This is nothing more than a transfer of wealth. The democrat way.
