I learned to hand embroider when I was about ten years old. I began cross stitching in my twenties. I have always struggled to make perfect French knots. I am now 68 years old - I found your video and following your easy instructions, I can now make the most beautiful, perfect, French Knots!!!! I am so excited! Thank you!!

I can remember when my mom taught us girls to embroidery and I enjoyed it by hand, I had a shirt that I embroiled and all my friends asked me where I got my shorts and I said I had done all the artwork myself they would say I wish I knew how I said it's simple and fun. The thing is I have forgotten how to use all the types of stitching so, I am excited to learn how I'm sure it will come back and it's all done by hand which to me it's more meaningful for the person who you are giving it to.

Hi Jessica, thank you so much for your YouTube channel 🤗!!! I am a beginner and I've been winging it since last Christmas, but I wasted a lot of time not doing anything correctly. You are an awesome teacher and I'm realizing that I have a lot to learn, so, here I go 😃

So excited to start my first project today! Your videos are very helpful and I’m sure I’ll have to watch them 100 times through the process but you make it look very easy! Can’t wait to see how this look when finished, if well, I hope to be able to stitch things on my kids clothes after I try this pattern.❤

Thank you for sending this video to me and I not only watched the brief discussion about needles, but also watched the rest of the video too! I like your needlebook by the way! Its not too small nor too large. I can bet you have a video on how to create one too! It doesn't look difficult to make.

I guess the most important things to remember about needles is regarding the type of fabric I use, how many strands of floss, and if the needle goes through the fabric easily. There shouldn't be a struggle. That would be an indicator for me that I am using the wrong needle. I am sure I will be more comfortable with choosing needles as I gain experience.

I taught myself how to cross-stitch and embroider when I was a teenager and just picked it back up again about 20 years later. I didn’t realize I was supposed to not tie all the threads together at the end, but am supposed to leave one end free. I’m always learning. I also noticed that I use a mixture of chain stitch and back stitch. I basically do a back stitch but instead of going back through the last hole, I go inside of the last stitch to give the chain look. It looks the same, it’s just backwards.

Thank you for sharing this video!! I’m so excited to get started. I want to embroider OVER a printed design (because that decal is starting to fade). Do you have any tips or suggestions on how to best prepare a pattern based on what’s already there?
