I’m late to the party, wondered what happened to Texas after thinking of summer son. And WOW, what a beautiful composition! The additional reverb and dynamics on the chorus, along with the panning of the percussion gives this true Spector “wall of sound” vibes, but even more uplifted with that classic Texas guitar licks and layered vocals. And that ending… just wow.

I think Donna would approve of how Texas have honoured her by sampling 'Love's Unkind' i this great song. Personally, I think it would sound even better if the sample was slightly louder in the mix creating more of the power of the original song. That's just my opinion but I like the almost subliminal quick shots of Donna in the video. That's respect.
