I organised a Collection for Ukraine, based at our Church in Ponteland. People were so generous! Now it is time to rescue the five Lions and bring them to a new Home at the Big Cat Sanctuary. My donation will add to all the others which I'm sure will be offered!

.The Yorkshire Wildlife Park is not just a zoo it was established in 2009 as a rehabilitation and rescue centre as well. They have very large safari style enclosures. They have an indoor area where the animals can see the sky and a run along the entire length of the indoor enclosures, they also have mesh barriers that they can use to introduce lions that have been separated to each other gradually. Outdoors the enclosures each have rock caves made out of real rock where the lions can rest if they want to. They have a waterfall in one of the enclosures that runs into a man made river that runs though all 3 of the enclosures and plenty of grass and trees and shrubs, the animals can hide from the public if they want to. There is a video on u tube about the Polish lions that they have recently rescued.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park in England, recently took 4 lions from Poland that were rescued from the war in Ukraine. They also have 2 lions left from the lions they rescued from an old zoo in Romania that could not look after them. Originally they had 13 lions that were rescued form Romania, 3 prides. Three large enclosures were built and special rehabilitation facilities. Only two of these will be occupied so they will have room for another pride. Why dont you contact them to see if they can take them, it would save you the money of building a new facility and all that would be needed would be the money for the paperwork and transfer.
