Jackdaws Raid the Apple Tree

Показать описание
Western Jackdaws are opportunistic and adaptable feeders. They are omnivorous, eating both plant and animal matter. Their varied diet can include seeds, berries and fruit, as well as insects, worms, small rodents, bird eggs and carrion. Western Jackdaw numbers in the UK have been increasing over the last few decades. The ability to exploit a broad range of food resources is probably a major factor in their breeding success. The UK’s Western Jackdaw population now stands at around 1,400,000 breeding pairs.

The sound of the Western Jackdaws 'tchack' call can be heard throughout the video. The calls are coming from a group of around 6 Jackdaws that roost nearby.
