This is golden. Money and stability is about being able to make choices. In my past relationship, any attempt that I made to talk about stability and the future, I was met with derision and accused of being materialistic. I found out that he was 200, 000 in debt. Thank goodness I left even though it was hard.

Well, you answered a previous view i had about the widow. 😊 Cross training makes sense.

I enjoyed this teaching very much. After being with someone and learning in premarital that his views on finances as a married couple were nowhere near mine, I made the mistake of going forth with the wedding. We're now divorced. He was also a narcissist.
I took those lessons into a recent "dating" situation and brought up finances very early to get his views on what our future might look like long term... not only did hr reveal the same narcissistic traits but I got an understanding of his unhealthy financial habits within 3 months. I have always been inquisitive and this time around I asked tons of questions from the start. Glad it only took 3 months for me to cut that off instead of some years.
Your teachings continue to confirm all I've learned and continue to practice. ❤

Amen l would love ❤️ for you to give your opinion about marriage at an older age. I am older with grown children and established. The last serious relationship l had and we discussed marriage l stated that my home, all assets prior to marriage go to my children. Any assets he had prior to marriage should go to his children. This wasn’t the only issue but he stated we didn’t have the same idea of marriage. I understood that. Like l said l am older, well established and on track to retire at 56 (5 years). My children are my legacy and will get everything l have and l am not interesting in selling my home to get another one ( it’s just about paid for and worth about 75 percent more than l paid for it 20 years ago). Again l can rent it out because it’s going to my children. I am also not interested in building materialism ( been there done ✅ that). I just find it harder to find a man that understands my point of view at this stage in life.
