Tinting Drywall Mud

Adding some paint pigment to drywall mud.
I just pick up the pigment from our local paint store
It great for fixing imperfections or tinting for coating #shorts #drywall #construction #krugerconstruction

I’m a rookie drywaller.i did this so I could see the texture i was putting out. This was a good tool. Select your color to hide it good later in the paint. Does not bleed into the paint. I though I was crazy back in 2012 bough a house on the market low to remodel. Now I see it 2024 lol. I’m not even in the trade😂

It's typically for finish coats. To highlight areas that have been hit in order to make sanding easier.

#1 I'm amazed at how many people believe this to be paint.
#2 our drywall in the states is grey you can tell when you put it on the wall so I'm wondering the reason for adding color?
#3 as a painter all I can think of is that dye bleeding throught the paint. Why not try blue or red chalk for chalk lines to tint the plaster?

So in case you all still wondering he is tinting the mud to tell difference in his coats of mud; 1 coat 2 coats etc. I wonder why doesn't he just buy plu3 tinted drywall mud. Its beige in color🤷‍♂️
